I would say I'm happy to have an excuse to wear these beautiful boots on this cold snowy day. However, in reality I wear them all the time. Rated all weather, they are lined with wool and fur for warmth. Hence they are perfect for life in the mountains but chic enough for the city.
The interior feels like Uggs, but the aesthetic of the boot is much more fitted and feminine with a low heel. Furthermore, the high/low top of this knee high boot gives it an equestrian vibe. They are fabulous.
I purchased my boots locally at Yarid's with a gift certificate and coupon (they have impeccable customer service). These boots are worth the splurge!
